Rights are the privileges a country gives to it's people and/or what the people fought for to gain. Such rights include the right to vote, the right to bare arms, the right to assemble, the right to choose what belief you want. The rights can be taken away if the people try to take them away, such as the rights for gays to be married. So this shows that even in a free country, the people themselves can have a say on who gets what rights sometimes. That is by the fact that we have the right to vote.

Not all rights are great all the time. Sometimes because of these rights some criminals can get away. If cops break into a house and find cocaine or any other illegal drug, the person wont go to jail if the cops didn't have a warrant. So while the rights protect the innocent, sometimes they can protect the guilty. Though no system is without its flaws

Do you believe that marriage is a right? Is there a difference between natural and civil rights (legal) rights? Supposedly, natural rights are rights that can't be taken away; while legal rights are those created by the people.
